To extinguish the need to log into Windows when booting up:


  1. 1) Right click the Start menu and select Run.

  3. 2) In the Open text box, type “netplwiz” (without the quotes).

  5. 3) Select OK.

  7. 4) Clear the checkbox for Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

  9. 5) Select Apply - this is a critical step and easy to miss.

  11. 6) Enter and confirm the computer’s password twice as indicated.

  13. 7) Select OK.
